Stimulate blood flow, relieve muscle tension, and move toxins to support lymphatic drainage. Apply body oil or moisturizer and allow the gua-sha to glide along the body. Use repetitive strokes up or down toward the heart following the lymphatic map creating purple or red spots on the skin, otherwise known as petechiae.
USE & HISTORY
The Bian stone has historically been used in Chinese medicine.
Mineral analysis has shown that the graphite, calcite, pyrite and anatase presence in Bian, and their thermal properties, makes the stone useful in physiotherapic functions like massage and heat treatment.
Carved on four sides to wrap around your body's curves.
HOW to use
Apply oil or lotion to your entire body, re-applying as needed. Holding your Bian Stone by its handle, use gentle but firm pressure and glide the edge of the stone along the body with repetitive motions 3 - 6 times. Adjust which stone edge you use to best suit the contours of your body. Move the stone in upward or downward motions towards the heart, following the lymph drainage map, to move and filter toxins while enhancing circulation and blood flow.
